How well can we predict future trends?
This video caught my eye. It's funny to see that only a couple of years ago people didn't know what Twitter or blogging was. I suppose the mainstream doesn't always know what's hot or not.

RIP Peter Steele
Today is a sad day. I heard that one of my favourite singers of all time had passed away yesterday. Type o Negative frontman Peter Steele has influenced me a lot during my youth. Back in 1996 I went to see my first metal show in Tampere. On that night there played Manhole, Moonspell and Type o Negative. I will never forget that night and their show in Finland at Sauna Open Air 2007. You will be missed.

Oscar winning short animation movie "Logorama"
This 17-minute long animation film is entirely told by the use of 2,500 different logos and mascots. Genious idea! Here is the trailer for the movie.

Did You Know? "We are living in exponential times"
Amazing video. I decided to post this, because it makes you think about the world and where is it going.
Dramatic shift in marketing reality (Scholz & Friends)
I found this great video from mediafuturist Gerd Leonhard's blog.
"Companies, marketers and advertising agencies are facing a dramatic shift in marketing reality - and are increasingly failing to connect with consumers. The big challenge in times of exchangeable products, the rise of social media and mature and rather brand skeptic consumers: To find new ways how to get people engaged again in products, advertising and in brands...."

Playstation Move vs. Xbox 360 Project Natal
Playstation finally came out with a name for their motion controller. Playstation Move is told to be more fast, precise and accurate compared to Nintendo's Wii remote. Check out the trailer to see the Playstation Move in action.
Last June Microsoft announced it's "controller-free gaming and entertainment experience"
called Project Natal. It looks really impressive and more innovative compared to the
Playstation Move. Which of these two will prevail? We will just have to wait and see.
I was thinking of getting both of them.
